The European Nomad
I am a passionate traveler and photographer. Unlike most photographers I get to know the local communities before I take a single picture. I will spend 2-3 months living like a local, learning and speaking the language, and eating cuisine. Through doing this I have visited over 40 countries, and mastered 7 languages.
Once I have learned the language THEN i start to take photos. Any photos taken after my 2 month immersion process are known as net photos. These net photos arise from my connections with real people, they are very special and powerfully imbued with the idiosyncrasies of the local life.
I have been invited to weddings, dinners, and coming of age ceremonies--something most photographers never have the chance to shoot.
Above all, even photography, I enjoy languages. In a shooting week I will spend eight hours or so of a day studying languages and then maybe 3-4 four hours taking pictures.
I let the photos come to me.
